BIRDEM Hospital is regularly offering workshops on BASIC AND ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT to physicians of all specialities, Dentists and 5th year medical students of any institution.

The course is conducted in accordance with the curriculum of American Heart Association & is the most comprehensive in the whole country. It is run by a faculty of expert consultants of BIRDEM & Other Institutes and Prof. M. O. FARUQ, Head, Department of Critical Care Medicine, BIRDEM, as it’s Course Director.

The workshop includes Lectures, Video Presentations & Practical Demonstrations on Airway adjuncts & O₂ therapy, Endotracheal Intubation, Defibrillation, Central Venous Cannulation, ECG interpretation, Basic CPR, Practical Case Scenario using Rhythm Simulator etc. Following successful completion of the workshop, participants will be awarded a certificate, which will be useful for career advancement & higher education abroad.

Completion of the workshop shall also entitle 20 (Twenty) hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit.
